Peter Kraker from our Social Computing Team has won a Student Membership from the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) via their European Chapter.

The European Chapter of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T-EC) is the leading European community of academics and practitioners in the field of information science and a part of the worldwide ASIS&T community.

The chapter aims to promote the exchange of ideas and good practices among professionals, researchers and educators in the field of information science and technology and associated fields. Another goal is to facilitate networking ideas and community building across the national borders within Europe, and within the ASIS&T membership worldwide.

Seven student memberships have been awarded to students nominated by country representatives and officers of the European Chapter. The awards are made based on publications in major information science journals and active participation in Chapter events. Peter Kraker has received a Student Membership as one of the seven awardees. Congratulations to this success!
