RecSys unites international recommender system research groups and leading e-commerce companies, making it the most important annual conference in this domain.

The accepted  Workshop on Engendering Health with Recommender Systems will take place on September 15,  the first day of the conference. It was put together by an international team, which Christoph Trattner, from Know-Center, is a part of.
The aim of the workshop is to empower people to lead a healthy lifestyle using recommender systems which offer specific, tailored suggestions for behavioural changes such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and many more.
The workshop will feature a broad range of contributions covering related research fields such as Motivation, Sensors, Gamifications, Ethics, Cross-Domain Knowledge Transfer, and many others.
