At the 3rd Annual Conference of the Austrian Platform for Personalized Medicine, the focus was on innovative technologies in the field of Healthcare. Mario Lovric from the Know-Center presented a paper on the topic.

The Austrian Platform for Personalised Medicine (ÖPPM) has set itself the goal of optimising the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases on the basis of molecular data and other relevant information from patients. This should ensure the best possible prevention, diagnosis and therapy for each patient at the right time. This ambitious approach requires a close interaction of biomedical research and clinical practice as well as important infrastructural resources such as biobanks, DNA sequencing centres or bioinformatic expertise. The PPPM is dedicated to this challenge and addresses all interested parties and stakeholders who wish to contribute to the research and implementation of personalised medicine in Austria.

At the 3rd Annual Conference of the Austrian Platform for Personalized Medicine, a total of 30 posters were presented on these topics.

Mario Lovric from the Know-Center presented a poster entitled “Imbalance in classification of prediatric asthma treatment outcomes”. The expertise for this came from a scientific cooperation between the Know-Center and the children’s hospital Srebrnjak from Zagreb. The Know-Center actively researches Artificial Intelligence technologies in the field of medicine.
