YOUR TASKS:

• Contribute to research projects focused on data-driven innovation and AI-based system solutions
• Analyze heterogeneous data sources (e.g., time series, machine data, log data) using state-of-the-art data science and machine learning methods
• Select, train, and evaluate suitable ML models, taking into account domain-specific requirements
• Implement and operationalize models using MLOps approaches to ensure robust and reliable operation
• Develop software and prototypes to translate scientific findings into practical demonstrators
• Carry out end-to-end development of AI solutions, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model validation, and deployment
• Conduct research on Explainable AI (XAI) to enhance transparency, traceability, and trust – especially in regulated environments
• Design standardized interfaces and formats to ensure the interoperability of AI systems within complex IT infrastructures

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Solid expertise in analyzing heterogeneous data sources (e.g., time series, machine data, log data) and in applying modern machine learning and data science methods
• Experience in selecting, developing, and evaluating machine learning models, with attention to domain-specific requirements
• Hands-on experience with the end-to-end development of AI solutions: data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and deployment
• Knowledge of MLOps and experience in operationalizing ML models in production environments
• Interest in Explainable AI (XAI) and in developing interoperable interfaces for use within complex IT infrastructures

We are required by law to specify the minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement, which is for the full-time position with some working experience a minimum of EUR 3.843,00 gross per month (14 times per year). Depending on qualifications and experience we are willing to pay a higher salary in line with the market.
