Die Nominierung der promovierten Informatikerin unterstreicht die zentrale Rolle von Informations- und Wissenstechnologien in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft. Stefanie Lindstaedt steht seit 2011 als erste Frau an der Spitze eines COMET Zentrums.
Die Honorierung ihrer Leistungen stellt die Bedeutung der angewandten Forschung in Österreich heraus. Es wäre schön, wenn die Forscherin des Jahres aus dem Know-Center kommen würde!
