Know-Center contributes to the uDay conference at University of Applied Sciences in Vorarlberg on June 21st with two talks on video technology in smart factories as well as voice-operated order picking.

The 16th edition of the uDay conference looks at assistive technologies in working environments and focuses on user-centric technology. Particular interest is on aspects such as augmented reality, user experience design and evaluation, as well as innovative task support by devices and video technology. A SciPoetrySlam contest and a tour the Digital Factory Vorarlberg are also part of the programme.

Know-Center contributes to the event with two talks in the afternoon. Rene Kaiser investigated the use of video technology in smart factories and will talk about opportunities and challenges that digitization and changing work processes in the realm of Industry 4.0 will bring with it.

Subsequently, Hermann Stern will present the App Talk2Me and insights into the underlying research and development. Talk2Me enables encompassing support for order picking processes via voice control. It has been designed and developed with a very human-centric approach.
