With the rise of artificial intelligence, learning at the workplace is becoming increasingly important for today’s employees in order to keep their skills relevant. From June 22 to June 30,2018 the London Festival of Learning takes place at University College London, bringing together world experts in artificial intelligence, the learning sciences and technical innovations in education. Among them, Viktoria Pammer-Schindler from Know-Center will be contributing with her expertise in workplace learning and technology.

As area head of the Ubiquitous Personal Computing area at Know-Center and member of the European Association of Technology Enhanced Learning (EATEL)  managing committee, Viktoria Pammer-Schindler has been invited to attend London Learning Festival and participate in a panel discussion about workforce education, hosted by the International Alliance to Advance Learning in a Digital Era. As a panelist, she will discuss the topic “Building the Workforce of the Future: Contributions from our Societies”. This panel brings together leaders from 7 research communities to discuss topics such as tensions between learning and performance in the workplace, setting learning objectives for advancement and transfer of learning theory and practices from more traditional formal learning contexts.
